Position Description
Generally, the EDP System Analyst I must: -- Develop project proposals and plans -- Assign tasks to project members -- Conduct quality assurance on project deliverables -- Implement new and maintain existing computer systems -- Support computer production systems --
Troubleshoot system problems and implement resolutions -- Develop new and enhance existing computer systems -- Test and evaluate computer systems -- Evaluate and test off-the-shelf products to ensure their applicability to corporate business requirements -- Review and analyze user requests for computer & communication systems, and recommend optimum solutions to meet customer requirements.
In addition to the principal duties listed above, additional duties of the EDP System Analyst I vary by function within divisions.
Essential Job Function
A. Participate in developing a comprehensive quality assurance program to provide services of functional testing - validation of application conformity to requirements, and performance of loading testing - volume, load and stress testing and reliability of application.
B. Co-ordinate developing and executing formal test plans of functional, unit, stress and performance testing to ensure the quality of developed applications
C. Provide recommendations and suggestions for improving testing efficiency and effectiveness
D. Monitor ongoing application performance and quality as well as report deficiencies to application development department contacts and / or through the centralized issues tracking system
E. Provide recommendations and suggestions for improving the quality of developed applications at all application development life cycle and implementation
F. Collaborate with application development teams, proponent end users. Quality assurance team members to continuously enhance and enforce procedure and policy of the quality insurance plan

Selection Criteria
A. EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Computer Sciences, Management Information Technology (MIS), Physical Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or equivalent.
B. EXPERIENCE: Minimum ten (10) years experience in computer systems or EDP environment.
C. LANGUAGE: Thoroughly proficient in both verbal and written English.
