A leading service provider in the chicagoland area is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer. The Network engineer will architect, build, support and stabilize the company's network system. This includes connectivity for over 70 different locations, which primarily includes Cisco equipment, including, routers, switches, wireless, and security. Ideal candidate will: Ensure all tickets are resolved on time. Participate in current change and control process. Communicate, train, and support the IT service center. Monitor, alert, and report current resource utilization levels and errors in the environment using variety of tools. Implement and maintain network security best practices by assessing current threats, vulnerabilities, risks and associated Technical countermeasures. Will maintain count of inventories for support and maintenance per location by working with selected vendor. Requirements: 5 years of Network Engineering experience with Cisco equipment. Working with remote locations. Design, architecture, and implementation of WAN, LAN and Security. Experience working with all application owners and other IT stakeholders to build and support the most efficient and stable networking capabilities. Experience with 24x7 support. High school diploma required Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
